We worked hard on making scanning even simpler. At the heart of TRIOS 5 is our ScanAssist engine. Its intelligent alignment technology for building up a 3D model results in precision scans, effortlessly and efficiently. It also lets you scan your patients in any direction you want and create a scan path that works best for you. You no longer have to use a scan strategy or protocol in order to ensure good data collection.
TRIOS 5 is the first calibration free scanner, meaning you don’t need to calibrate after a certain number of scans. It's always ready to use! The new battery is going to let you scan up to 33 patients. Switching focus between patient and screen can be distracting. That’s why the scanner uses haptics – a subtle vibration – to give you feedback. A LED ring on the scanner indicates the status of the scanner: it tells you when it's connected, low on battery, or the tip is ready, for example. Everything to make your work even more effortless than before.
TRIOS 5 sets a new standard for patient protection and infection control. We like to call it 'hygienic by design'. We've developed a closed, autoclavable tip which prevents cross contamination as the scratch-free sapphire glass prevents the patient to get in contact with anything but the tip. The tip is autoclavable providing a microbial barrier validated to last at least for 100 autoclave cycles.
TRIOS Share is a solution that enables our users to carry their wireless TRIOS scanner around in the clinic and scan and plan using the existing PCs and screens. It allows you to scan every patient in any room within range of the wifi network and treatment plan on all PCs. The TRIOS 5 is always ready to work where you need it.
TRIOS 5 ergonomics got optimized for all day use. It's 30 % smaller and 20 % lighter compared to TRIOS 4. It offers less strain on hands and wrists.
